Hey Everyone,

I am new to this forum, and new to PC builds. I recently put together the following build:

- Kingston HyperX Blu 16GB, 1600MHz 240-pin DDR3 Non-ECC CL10 Desktop Memory KHX1600C10D3B1K2/16G

- Corsair Builder Series CX 430 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS certified Power Suppy

- ASUS PCE-N53 Dual Band N600 Ultra Fast Wireless PCI-E Adapter

- WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64 MB Cache - WD10EZEX

- Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive DRW-24B1ST

- AMD FD8320FRHKBOX FX-8320 FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition

- XFX AMD Radeon HD 5450 2GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card ON-XFX1-DLX2

Everything works great until I start working in programs like Adobe After Effects and Blender 3D.

When I get started on projects, these programs seem to bog down pretty heavily and there are lags and freeze-ups that occur.

I am really confused, because the hardware I have should be MUCH MORE than enough to handle these programs at heavy use. Any suggestions on what I mught have set up wrong??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure you have all the updates installed from Windows. I usually have to force them.

Run CPU-Z and confirm which chip is installed, and that the clockspeed is what it should be.

Make sure all the drivers that came with the motherboard are installed. Look for the latest Bios and any further updates on the motherboard website.
