port forwarding not working

I am trying to set up an open port to play terraria with. I have a Tenda W308R router and i have set up an open port, but by using port forward checker, it says it is not open or reachable. i have disabled my firewall and i dont really know what to do. can someone please help me?

Did you set a static IP on the computer running Terraria?

Do you encounter problems when actually playing Terraria?

Which port forward checker did you use?

Online port forward check tools are not always accurate, since they are checking for a running service (e.g. Terraria) to determine if a port is open. There are downloadable tools that provide better results.

If you don't actually have any problems using Terraria, then you shouldn't be concerned with the port forward results.
