I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong place, I didn't see any other place where this would go.
I ran into some problems with my windows 8 and had to do a clean install. Before the install, I was able to download drivers and have no problems with large files. After the install, I go put my disks in to install the first two drivers I need(my wireless adapter and then my graphics card). It lets me download my adapter's driver, no problem to report there. It's when I go to download my other driver is when the problem starts, I constantly get a 7zip data or CRC error during the process. It also happens with the DirectX driver. I formatted my disks at least a dozen times (I'm not joking by any stretch of the imagination). And have done this process and googled this problem more then anything today. I tried little things like installing winrar and hoping it uses that instead. I've done the chkdsk command with no files in the bad sectors. from multiple tests, I see no problem in the ram. I just need some help as to why it's doing what it is. Thanks in advance for helping me get a grasp of what's wrong with my PC.
