Looking to get a sabertooth 990fx r2 with a AMD FX 8350
will i have any issues with compatibility? really don't want to have to flash the bios or anything like that, sorry if i sound a noob, my first build tho......

Solution
are you planning to overclock the cpu?
if no, get a intel cpu.
yes. the 8350 is a 8-core, but the i5 is so much better per core then the amd option, so i recommend a 4440 or a 4460.
if yes, the mobo is compatible, and if you get a good bang for buck cooler like the 212 evo, you can get a mild-good overclock on your cpu.
Hope this helps :)

Why do you want to get the FX 8350? Gaming? Any editing?

Speaking by the benchmarks I have seen on the web (I have seen a ton of them) ( yes I also am saving some money for my next gaming build) i5 4460 beats the FX 8350 in nearly all cases, even on some highly threaded games. :sarcastic:

Also, to unlock the real power of FX, you probably need to overclock, CPU+ a good motherboard + a good cooler costs just too much.

If you really count pennies, get a i5 4460/4440 (whichever is cheaper at the time) and a H81 motherboard and use the stock cooler. Don't worry, they PROBABLY will send the mobo with BIOS up to date, so it'll run perfect. :D

If not, get a H97/Z97 motherboard if you will use the extra features. (Yes, in some countries, Z97 boards cost the same or even less)
