I recently bought a graphics card (Asus Nvidia gtx650 1gb gddr5) and I installed it in to my desktop perfectly without any complications, however when I loaded up my desktop and ran the driver however when I went to run the driver that detects the gpu, it wouldn't load and therefore every time I load nvidias graphics engine, it prompts me with a message saying it cannot detect the gpu and I have tried many things from uninstalling & reinstalling the driver to downloading the driver through the Web and it hasn't worked and I have even uninstalled mcafee to see if it's firewall was blocking it and it didn't work so please help, thank-you

If the GPU wasn't detected you couldn't even BE in windows to do ANY of that. It sounds like maybe you still have the monitor connected to the motherboard display outputs. Did you connect the monitor to the GPU outputs after you installed it? Maybe go into the BIOS and disable the onboard integrated video or change the setting to PCI.

If your card has a six pin power connector, which some of them do, you need to make sure you've connected that to the card as well. If your PSU doesn't have this connector, or if you have an OEM PC with the original power supply, you most likely will need to get an aftermarket PSU of at least 400w that has a six pin connector. You'll want a good quality unit and for this purpose, if you need to get one...
