It requires 64 Bit 4 Core processor with 16 or 24 GB of memory.

I am looking for AMD FX 8320, AMD FX 8300, AMD Phenom x6 1100T.

I was informed that AMD Phenom x6 1100T is closed down and I have to choose from AMD FX.

Following are my queries?
==========================

1. Difference between AMD FX 8320 and AMD FX 8300?

2. Which is better comparing pricing and performance?

3. Any other better AMD CPU close this model with similar pricing?

4. Is thier any warranty differnce between these model, like AMD FX 8320 has 1 year warranty and other has 3 years warranty?

5. Can I install Microsoft Hyper-V server on AMD FX 8320, AMD FX 8300 CPUs?

6. Is AMD Phenom x6 1100T really closed down?

Solution
This is an ideal foundation for a decent server. The CPU is basically a cheaper version of the i7-4790. It does not have an IGP, so I threw in a cheap, but capable GPU for CUDA processing.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230 V3 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($239.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus H97-PLUS ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($95.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: G.Skill TridentX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($170.98 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card ($129.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $636.95
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

1. the 8300 is a little faster and uses less power. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_FX_microprocessors
2. they will be very nearly the same performance so it comes down to price
3. we don't know your prices so we can't tell, but use the link above and your local knowledge of prices and you can come to a conclusion
4. no difference
5. yes
6. it's obsolete, you can still get them in channel somewhere but the fx's should out perform them.

be aware of cooling, they have a high tdp and a low tolerance for temps, intel has a lower tdp and can take a higher temp.

If it's for home lab and you want to test SharePoint you don't need a high end computer:

- 4 cpu processor (intel i5 is more than enough)
- 8 GB of RAM is enough for 1 SharePoint server (with all service applications installed and configured) If you want to add more server you'll need at least 4 GB RAM per server. ( virtual machines are recommended)
- 240 GB ssd is enough. ( you can use linked clones)
