Hey, I am looking to build a new computer and got stuck planning out my build,

I need to have a wifi module in my computer, preferably not taking up a pcie lane as I'm building an m-atx system so pcie lanes are limmited. That's why I thought the best option would be to use the solution gigabyte has used on some of their other boards, like the GA-x99-gaming 7 WIFI. On this board you can see they used one of the two m.2(I'm still not entirely sure if that's actually an m.2 slot) slots to install a wifi module.

Now I would like to do the same on the [Gigabyte GA-X99M-Gaming 5], but for this I ofcourse need a wifi module. The only one I could find on that I thought would fit was the [Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 Dual Band/Bluetooth].

Now my question is, will this work together? I'm worried it wont as gigabyte specifies the port on the motherboard as an m.2 slot, but intel species their connecter type as mini-pcie. Would any of you know if this works together, and if not, what wireless ac module would work?

please do not double post, someone with expertise on the subject should interject shortly. I have an M.2 Wireless/Blue Tooth chip on my board, I'm sure as long as you get one that is the proper size and you can find the driver it should work. I am no expert on M.2 though so I would wait for a pro to pop in.
