Hello, i recently ordered RAM and afterwards realised (in the reviews) it doeesnt have XMP support. I dont know if it was that person specifically who got it wrong as all other reviews are positive. If it doesnt come with XMP support does that mean it wont run at its advertised 1866Mhz?

Thanks

RAM - HyperX FURY Series 8GB DDR3 1866MHz CL10 DIMM

Solution
It should run at its advertised 1866Mhz, provided you have adequate hardware to pair it with of course - XMP is a method of making getting it to run as intended easier, ie rather than having to adjust a number of settings in the BIOS, you just pick an XMP profile.

Don't worry - you should be fine

The Furys run based on PnP, if your mobo supports it they should set themselves up automatically to run at 1866, (you shouldn't have to do anything) - if the mobo doesn't support PnP then they may not work at all, or you might be able to set them up manually, if it allows it
