Hello! I recently installed a new CPU and motherboard into my PC. I also put it in a new power supply that is 750 watts.

Ever since I installed those components into my computer, it will sometimes restart itself or sometimes freeze. There are no blue screens or anything of the sorts. I checked the temperatures of my CPU and GPU to see if they're overheating but they're at good temperatures. This will happen while playing a game or just browsing the web. I also assumed faulty ram and took out the ram that I thought was faulty. I noticed the restarting and freezing happening less but it still happened. My CPU fan is loud that came with my new AMD Fx-8350 8-core. I don't know that has to do with anything but I heard the fan that comes with that CPU is very loud. Any ideas as to why my computer does this?

OK, you went from an AM3 configuration to an AM3+ configuration. The old board AM3 configuration files are conflicting with with the new AM3+ system. Maybe the old board drivers too. Your best bet is to save all the stuff you don't want to lose and do a fresh windows install. Should not have any problems after that. Just set up the BIOS and memory timings & speed right.
I bet there are enough difference that makes your system unstable. Try going into bios and set it up right and make sure the memory timings and speed is right too. You might have to save everything you want to keep and install windows.

What is your old board and new board models?
