I recently built a gaming system using an Intel Pentium G3258 processor and a ASUS H81M-A motherboard. When I power up all the fans turn on and the LED on the motherboard is lit. I get no input to the monitor. I tried most of the recommendations on this forum and nothing seems to work. I am getting no beep from the speakers at all. Any help would be appreciated

Solution
Board needs a BIOS update for supporting the CPU.
As an option, you can order a BIOS chip on ebay and replace the board's one (it's on socket).

I tried starting with only cpu, no ram or video card. Just trying to get a beep. Came with the stock cooler from Intel with the twist pins, no screws. I'm thinking it may not be siting correctly. As I understand, intel has a failsafe that will not allow it to turn on if not secured. Or maybe I have the speaker plugged in the wrong place.

Thanks for the help!! Going to try the new chip first since it is only $13. I'm hoping I didn't damage anything else since my son tossed the box for the MOBO and CPU. May not be able to return. I will let you know how it goes.

Ok, so I finally got the new bios chip and completed the install. Still no beep. I made sure to indicate the motherboard when I ordered so I believe it is correct. I'm stuck.
