So I have 7 Fans in my HAF-X with Asus GTX 970 SLI. Here is a picture similar to what I have:

. I was thinking because the Asus are pointing down I should change my bottom fan to an exhaust as well as my side panel to exhaust. What do you guys think?

Solution

correct. The fans themselves are pointing down, but they are sucking in air from below and blowing it upwards right against the heatsink.

Leave your front and side fans to intake. Hot air rises, so the side fan will keep cool air coming in to cool the GPUs and the 2 large top fans will keep the hot air moving upwards and out of the case. Having the side fan as exhaust will mean its fighting with the GPUs for air.

Thanks for the reply. The fan dock behind the hard drives and the fan I stuck in the bottom of the case are the last two. So even having the Asus GTX 970 Fans pointing down with their fans pointing down my side panel and bottom fan should be intake?
