So my old comp has a new samsung evo 840,i wanted to install windows 7 on it with AHCI in bios,i couldnt find it,i found out how to do it with registry after the windows install....but i CANT FIND IN BIOS WHERE TO CHANGE IT TO AHCI! The comp was bought in 2009,id have to check again the BIOS but i think it was like from 2007...i thought it should have it...heres the MOBO:

MCP61PM-HM (Iris8)

anyone lend a hand that would be much appreciated.

Solution
I looked into your system a little more, it appears that mobo doesn't support raid (OEM are notorious for feature limiting BIOS'), they were not designed w/ upgrades in mide.. You'll still get most of the performance enhancement of an SSD.
