First time post, long time reader

I had this unit for over 3 years – worked fine for my needs.

Right before the Christmas holidays, one of my Seagate SATA hard drive died on me. Lost all my files (which is cool, I have backup). Was busy with the holidays – just left it.

After the vacation, turned on the PC – it just stuck on the POST screen for over 30 minutes – hitting any key did not do anything (DEL, F12, etc.). it did not go to Window 7 OS.

Removed the dead hard drive, no changes.

Removed the Boot C drive, same issue.

Removed both drive, waited another 30 minutes – saw the message:

Reboot and Select proper Boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.

Something is wrong – not sure where to look? Dead battery on the mother board?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Thanks for the speedy response Alex.

I can't even get into the setting screen - what is the fastest/easiest way to reset the CMOS? Can I just remove the battery and leave it out for a while and reset it back? Thanks again!

Took out the battery, waited 30 minutes, insert a new one. Same as before - hung at POST.
Try to go in through SAFE MODE (pressing F8) - came up with Windows configuration error. Looks like the C drive was corrupted as well.

If all things fail, will get a new SATA drive and reinstall Windows 7.

Any other recommendations are welcomed, thanks!

I was able to install a new HD last night and reinstall Win7 - looks like apart from initial dead hard drive - my original C drive was messed up as well.

By the way - do you know where I can download the onboard NIC driver?

Thanks again for your help again Alex!! :)
