Well there are definitely some odd things here. At this point it might be easier to knock out the system and reinstall Windows than to pick at little bugs which could be tough to nail down. If you have the install disk and some time to re-do everything, that is the surest way to clear all these issues. Just make sure you save any files you don't want to lose on an external drive.

Short of that you could throw a bunch of other cleaners and antimalware programs at it, though the chances of success aren't 100%

It could be windows update, viruses or a memory leak. If it's windows update, it will settle down on its own. You should find it with the scans if it's viruses/malware. If it's a memory leak than check all of the programs that start with your computer and go from there, browsers and AV are normally the cause..

i dont use internet explore but I do get a pop up all the time saying it has stopped working

If you never use IE you can disable it, or you can attempt to repair the problem with system restore. If you remember when those errors started to appear, do a system restore to a point before then (this would change all your other settings back to that time as well and could change programs)

To disable IE, go to Programs in the Control Panel, select "turn windows features on or off" in the left-hand pane, OK the security message and uncheck the box next to Internet Explorer, then click Apply and restart.

If this doesn't fix your problems, there are other options up to reinstalling Windows

http://greatis.com/blog/how-to-remove-malware/dvdupgrd-exe.htm thats where it said it was harmful
on the AVG scan it did find a Trojan horse downloader and everything that i see take up alot of ram if coming from that file i didn't know if it was an actual windows file
C:\Windows\SysWOW64 thats the address to that file on my PC

That site where you looked up "dvdupgrd.exe" looks a bit odd to me. It just looks like it's selling something and doesn't substantiate the claim that that's definitely a malware. As I said, just about any normal windows file can be taken over by an infection or replaced with a malicious version. The presence of the file doesn't tell us whether it's infected, though if it's using a lot of resources that seems odd.
