Whatz happenin w/ MoBo Quality of late ?

Certainly one has to take newegg reviews with a grain (or sometimes a pound) of salt as there are plenty of posts which clearly are the result of user inexperience or carelessness .... i.e. the never ending "my board has bent pins and I didn't do it". Be that as it may, in looking in preparation of upcoming X99 builds, the negative results (1 and 2 eggs) are consistently and substantially higher with X99 than they were with X79 and I am somewhat at a loss to explain the results ....

Asus X79 Deluxe => Asus X99 Deluxe negative reviews up 22.5%

X79 Deluxe - 31%
X99 Deluxe - 38%

Asus X79 Rampage => Asus X99 Rampage negative reviews up 50.0%

X79 Rampage IV - 24%
X99 Rampage V - 36%

Asus X79 WS => Asus X99 WS negative reviews up 78.3%

X79 WS - 23%
X99 WS - 41%

Looking in the more mainstream category and I went to look at Asus Gigabyte and MSI ... Giga makes it difficult as few model designations are the same but they have the lowest amount of negative reviews in the boards I generally would look at. Asus and MSI however have kept common lines from Z87 => Z97 and gain Z97 is showing much higher % of negative reviews

$150 - $200

Z87 Asus Hero - 17%
Z97 Asus Hero - 25% (18% one egg) *
Negative reviews up 47%

Z87 GD-65 - 17%
Z97 GD-65 - 24% (12% 1 egg) *
Negative reviews up 41%

$250 - $300

Z87 Asus Formula - 24%
Z97 Asus Formula - 44%

Z87 MSI MPower MaX AC - 18%
Z97 MSI MPower MaX AC- 18%

Whaddya think accounts for such an upsurge ? .... More inexperienced users building ? Haters ? Real quality control issues ?

Solution
It has to be a slew of inexperienced users and haters getting pissy, because they cannot afford said product/build. We also have to temper in breaks during shipping and *real* quality control issues. Which by my guess "should" make up about 8% if all the "defects" reported.
