Bought a brand new pre-built PC and it won't start, in need of immediate help!

Hello! As I said in the title I bought a pre-built PC by ASUS. Here's a link: http://www.asus.com/Desktops/M32AD/
So I booted it up for the first time and this pops up:

The current BIOS settings do not fully support the boot device. Click OK to enter BIOS setup. Go to Advanced > Boot > CSM parameter settings to enable the boot device.

Now I have no clue what this is all about. I thought the first thing that'd come up would probably windows 8 telling me welcome or something but that does not seem to be the case... Now I really need some help with this and keep in mind I'm not a computer geek so don't sound too complex xD Could it be that the Pc cannot recognise the hard drive with windows pre-installed? LEND ME A HAND PC EXPERTS!

Here are the specs of my computer model:

NVIDIA GTX760 OEM 3GB
Intel® Core™ i5-4460
8GB 1600MHz RAM
1TB HDD
350W PSU
Windows 8.1 64-bit

Does you prebuilt have any stickers on the edges that say "warranty void" or anything like that? Sometimes they cover screws, or tape edges of the case together so they know when somebody opened it which could void the warranty. Here is a link that shows what both cables will look like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA part way down the page, you'll see what the power and data connectors look like and what the connector edges look like on the HDD itself. However, even with this info, as Trademan1 pointed out, you may want to contact them first to see what they think + the info that's being posted on here for a description of your problem. I got it from a Swedish retailer called Netonnet. It's not some ghetto place I mean the store is very well known and popular over here so don't have any concerns about that. And keep in mind that this is not a normal gtx 760, it's the OEM version which also consumes less current.
 
You may need to enable the CSM settings in the BIOS. There settings can be adjusted if your PC supports full UEFI booting. Nvidia graphics cards typically don't support UEFI booting except TITANs I believe. Anyways, you would want to ENABLE CSM(compatibility support module). It may be disabled currently which would default to full UEFI boot which would be faster booting of your PC. I'm guessing the 760 graphics card may not support this feature, which is why CSM would need enabled. There should be something in there about booting both Legacy and UEFI. Try switching to Legacy or Legacy + UEFI, save changes, reboot and see what happens.

CSM was on auto at first but I have now enabled it and switched to legacy only. I still wasn't able to boot up the computer tho, but now there's this thing called boot order with a Picture of a DVD writer on it, am I supposed to put a disk in the computer or what?
 
No, you don't need a disc inserted to be able to boot Windows. You should be able to manipulate the boot order on this screen using the arrow keys or whichever keys are listed on the screen. You should try setting your HDD to the top of the list. This would make the computer "boot" this device first, which is what you want to get into Windows. If you can/need to take a screenshot and upload it here so we can see what's going on. Also, you may want to look around and see if there is a "secure boot" setting somewhere. This can also cause problems sometimes. If it's there somewhere, see if there is an option to disable it,at least temporarily to try to get things working. After a bit more reading, it's also possible that you could have a bad HDD in your computer. I copy-pasted the error msg you received from your original post and it shows up with results show that it can be a generic error for ASUS motherboards when no boot device is being detected on newer systems. Some people seem to have fixed the problem by replacing the drive. Again, I can't say for sure this is the problem, but it does appear to be a possibility. Shipping damage maybe?

There's only one thing on the list and that's the DVD writer and NOT the HDD. ANyways, there is something called secure boot. When I press on it I can choose OS type and I've got two options:Windows UEFI Mode OR other OS mode
 
For Secure boot, Other OS would be the "disable" version. What your saying though makes it sound like that's not the problem. It doesn't appear that your HDD is being detected by your motherboard, otherwise it should show up on this screen as a boot option. Your going to have to open your computer. You need to check the cables connecting to the HDD(2 cables, power and data), and also make sure the other end of the smaller flat cable that attaches to the HDD is connected firmly to the motherboard. Hopefully it just came loose during shipment. Of course remember to disconnect the power cable from the wall first, then hold in the power button on the computer for a few seconds, this will discharge the capacitors in your computer. This is the safe thing to do before opening. I can post pics of the cables if you need them. If your not comfortable doing this, you'll have to take it somewhere/somebody to check it out for you. It should only take 10 minutes or so.

I think you're right about this. But remember that this computer is pre-built, maybe I can break the warranty if I do this? And yes please post some pics :)

After all, you paid for a computer that doesn't work immediately upon receipt. If you call, make sure you get clear info on their warranty policy, if they want you to send it back, make them pay for shipping as well. If you want to proceed to open, check cables yourself, just take your time, study the link at what cables you looking for, and check them out. Again, if this is the problem, one end of the cable probably just popped off needs put back on, or simply pushed in a little.
