Im confused about my drives? Please help me?

I have a Samsung 850 evo 120GB ssd and a 1TB WD Cavier blue drive. I installed windows 8.1 on the ssd, but how do I get my programs and stuff to go to my mechanical drive? Btw how should I format my mechanical drive, should it be ntfs or fat32? please help me.

When you are installing your programs, you will get a choice of install location. When looking for the install location, make sure it is the hdd and not the ssd. and when you format the hard drive, make sure it is ntfs. Hope this helps :)

Ntfs for windows to use it. and when installing a program it should let you chose the install path (if not try using an "advanced setup" option, or something like taht)
