I have a core i5-4440 processor, corsair vengeance cmz8gx3m1a1600c10 ram, gigabyte h97m-d3h motherboard. My motherboard came with a
software called app center. In this app in easy tuneup under advances DDR OC there is a feature calles XMP with profile 1 and profil
e 2. I heard that XMP is from Intel, will enabling XMP profile void my CPU or RAM warranty ? will it decrease my system life ? Is i
t safe to use XMP ? Is my system configuration compatible with XMP technology? My ram has 1600hz and my motherboards specified ram speed is 1600hz but both have XMP option. I hope that you respond to my request at the earliest
. ......thx in advance

With the GB mobo would make sure BIOS is up to date, then go into BIOS and enable XMP - select profile 1, save, exit and reboot, then can check in CPU-Z free downloadable app and see what the DRAM is at in the memory tab - should show 800 in frequency since this is DDR (double data rate)

Your BIOS is where you can change and fine-tune your RAM frequency to whatever advertised frequency it came with if needs be. XMP is a safe program to use, never heard of it decreasing life-span and it doesn't do anything to your warranty.
