1st off, i dont ever plan on overclocking crazy, thus the 3350p cpu at the limited oc and the high factory OC FTW 970.

Case - Thermaltake commander g42
CPU - i5 3350p (limited oc to 3.5/3.7)
Mobo- Asrock z77 extreme4
PSU - EVGA supernova 650 80plus gold
GPU - EVGA gtx 970 FTW
Ram - Kingston hyperX black 2x8gb (16gb) @1866
SSD - Samsung 850 pro 128gig (boot/select game and app drive)
HDD - WD blue caviar 1tb 7200rpm (wd10ealx)

Additional parts - 1x140mm and 1x120mm corsair af fans (top exaust)
1x120mm corsair af fan (rear exuast)
1x120mm corsair af fan (front intake)
1x80mm generic fan (bottom intake)
cooler master vortex tx3 (since i cant heavily oc my cpu, no need for a evo 212)
everything running very cool and stable.

So, what do u guys think?
like i said, i dont need a k cpu since im not a oc'er and from ive read the 3350p is the best ivy-bridge non-k i5 thats out(no on board graphics is a plus obviously)

any input would be awesome :)

not sure why you would go with older gen z77 setup go with z97 and haswell-refresh cpu
ivy bridge was good but its old and newer gens are faster
not sure why you need 16GB of ram 8 is fine
850 evo is fine for ssd not much reason to pay more for pro

Sry for not elaborating more. the 3350p is from my old rig and got a great deal on the mobo so i saved a bunch on not having to upgrade my cpu, absolutely no bottlenecking issues at all with the 970.
I actually bought the ram from someone selling the 8gig kit online, but when i installed it, it turned out to be the 16gig kit, so pure luck on the ram
as for the ssd, i bought a 840 evo ssd for 89.99 from frys and the next day saw a frys ad with the 850 pro for the same price w/ ac unity for free so i wen back and swapped it.
with that said, think i did ok?

budget wasnt really a prob, i found some superb deals through friends and craigslist on the parts i got.
the psu cost me 40 bucks
ram also cost me 40 bucks(dude was selling 8 gig kit but gave me 16 gig kit)
hdd was free
so i really just lucked out on good stuff for a super low price :)

Like i said in my reply to the last guy, the cpu was from my old rig and i got a great deal on the mobo (79.99 from a local computer store in town) so upgrading to haswell would've cost me a xtra 275-325 bucks.
Gonna ride this ivy bridge till the wheels fall off because its a great cpu that doesnt bottleneck my 970 at all. Then im going to upgrade my cpu to a broadwell in a couple years along with a mobo upgrade.
sound ok?

would have been good to know all this information in the original post oh well.
