Hello I'm going to buy new laptop Lenovo z510 but it has diffrent models of processor. Is a big diffrence between this two in title? I can get i7 with 4 GB RAM or i3 with 8GB RAM, I need it to use graphics procession programs. At least I can buy addictional 4 GB to this i7 version. I'm thinking about to change HDD to SSD too. i3 version is 150 bucks cheaper. I'm really confused, so asking you to help.

Solution
The i3-4000M is a 2 core/4 thread processor that is clocked at 2.4GHz with no turbo boost (meaning 2.4GHz is the max frequency). The i7-4702MQ is a 4 core/8 thread processor that is clocked at 2.2GHz, but with turbo boost it can reach 3.2GHz with one core. If price is no object, go for the i7. You can upgrade RAM later. For what you'll be doing, I would highly recommend the i7 because of higher multithreaded AND singlethreaded performance.

+1 to this, the initial purchase is $150 more, assuming it is 1x 4GB stick of RAM another 4GB stick isn't very expensive. But let's sat +$180 total for the CPU upgrade + 4GB more RAM.

The processor has a higher clockspeed, and twice the amount of cores. (Turbo boost for 2 core is ~3Ghz, vs 2.4Ghz non-turbo abled i3-4000m)

So the i7-4702MQ is already faster with half its core count, having four cores in applications that utilize them. (ESPECIALLY graphics processing) you're looking at OVER twice the speed of the i3.

I would highly recommend spending the extra $180 for the i7-4702MQ and 4GB of RAM afterwards.
