What type of ram should i get for my gigabyte b85m-d3h

That board takes ddr3 1333 or ddr3 1600. Either will work. So long as it's a 64bit operating system, for gaming I'd suggest 8gb's of ram which is about the most common. Whichever is cheaper, 1 8gb stick or 2 4gb sticks sold as an 8gb kit. They usually go for about $60usd. There's a slight performance increase using 2 sticks in dual channel mode but it's not huge.
