Could someone check to see if all of these components will work together for my new PC?

Hi guys,

I am currently upgrading my GPU but realising that I have to upgrade my PSU and motherboard, the PSUs I have been looking at wont fit into my current case.

So below I have listed all of the components that I have hoping to buy as long as they are compatible and all fit.

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-NVIDIA-Gaming-Graphics-Express/dp/B00NQ862GY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420296200&sr=8-1&keywords=gigabyte+gtx+970)

Motherboard: Asrock H61 Pro BTC Intel H61 (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-123-AK&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1965)

it should be fine, but why is the motherboard h61? what cpu do you have?

The Asrock H61 will fit perfectly

There is no problem with the GTX 970 either.
It's a very good PSU, and it will be enough for a single GTX 970.
All is good

remember, if you will want to upgrade to a better cpu later on, you will need a new motherboard, as most intel cpu's these days use the lga 1150 platform, and will not be compatible with the mobo you are look at.

it will fit, but its still the ivy-bridge platform. if you were upgrading, moving to the haswell (lga 1150) platform would be a much better upgrade, and that wont fit

there is no such motherboard, as the haswell and the ivy-bridge use different cpu sockets.

the haswell platform is more efficient, and yet more powerful. also, the haswell chipsets have more features like more usb3.0, m.2 and sata express support (on the z97 chipset), and various other handy features.

Oh sorry, as i wasnt a my PC whilst talking about it earlier, i have an Intel Core i3 2120 Sandy Bridge at the moment, does this change anything?

no, it does not change anything. that i3 is still lga 1155
