I found a REALLY cheap GTX 780 here on ebuyer for £220, so now I don't know whether to get an R9 290 for £215 here or the GTX 780. The only thing i've noticed so far is that the 790 has 1GB memory less than the R9 290 and the boost (!!) clock is only 902mhz. One pro I've found so far that the dynamic super resolution technology introduced with the 970 and 980 GPUs was ported to Kepler in October, so I can game in 4K on a 1080p monitor without using shadowy downsampling tools. I definitely want to over-clock my GPU.
