Is a mix n' match intel/amd build going to work?

This is a stupid question, and I'm pretty sure I know the answer but I'd like a few second opinions: Would there be any performance difference if I got an Intel/Intel CPU/GPU rather than Intel/AMD CPU/GPU (respectively). I ask because I've already got an HD 7790 GPU and an Intel Pentium Dual-core e5400 @ 2.7Ghz and it works fine and well but I'm wanting to upgrade a bit. I've already decided (after much discussion and research) on an Intel i5-4460. I just wanted to know if, in the future, it would be wise to not mix n' match the two, or if it would make any difference at all.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: right, there are few if any Intel GPUs, I meant Nvidia.

Solution
There's no problem at all having an Intel CPU with an AMD Gpus, also, Intel only makes integrated gpus which are extremely weak compared to a dedicated card that only AMD and Nvidia produce, so go ahead with your I5-4460 + your HD 7790.
