I have a friend who is sending me his SSD so I can install Win7 on it. It should be an easy process as I've done it before, so no big deal.

What I'm trying to figure out is how I'm going to go about doing this. I've got a laptop and a PC. Could I unhook my SSD and HDD from my PC, plug his in and load it up without any damage to my PC? Is there a way to hook it up to my laptop and use that since my laptop?

Solution
win 7 is a piece of cake to install, it'll cause fewer problems than sending the disk back with an installation with the wrong hardware on it.
Send him a usb stick with the windows download on (assuming his laptop can boot from USB). Win7 will find any drivers it needs.
