Hey guys! I recently made my PC, and everything is working fine. Only sometimes the WiFi does not turn on. It works after I restart my PC, is this a power management issue? I have a Windows 8.1.

Like when I boot up the computer it does not connect at all. Help please!

Sorry for the late response.

I have a Gigabyte GA-Z97X G1 Wifi BK and I believe that came with a Bluetooth 4.0+867Mbps 11AC dual band WIFI card. I do not know which driver I have but I have the Killer™ E2200 from Qualcomm Atheros installed.

EDIT: The Driver is Intel Dual Band AC -7260 and the driver version is
17.1.0.19

A newer driver is available.

You can try the Intel automatic driver updating tool here: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect or download the latest package for manual install here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24576

I'd download the larger package (software+driver), install, reboot and see if it helps. If the wi-fi is being managed by windows, there may be an option to have the Intel software manage it instead. Sometimes this can help also.

If you go with the Intel Automatic Downloader, it may find a few other Intel drivers that need updating.

I checked the website you linked and there is a newer driver indeed. Although when I checked the Auto Downloader the version I have is shown as the latest. Weird.

I guess Ill go ahead and update it with the link you showed me. Will update you if it works.

Also, how will I know if it is managed by Windows?
