I just built PC for the first time, every connection seems to be allright, I double checked and reconnected every power cable, the I/O front panel. Nothing seems to help. The pc turned on for a split second (powering all of the fans, led on my gpu) but then it turned off and now doesn't respond to power button at all. When I switch on my psu a green light appears on my motherboard next to the USB 3.0 boost. No other lights are present (does that indicate something? does it mean my psu is ok?)

My setup:
CPU: Intel i5 4690k
MB: Asus Z97M-PLUS
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1
PSU: SeaSonic G-650

Let me know if you have an idea what it could be or how can I troubleshoot this problem.

Your PSU should be fine, as it comes form a very reliable manufacturer. If none of the error beeps/lights that are in the manual are happening you may have to contact Asus support. They have a very good support staff and can talk you through troubleshooting option via phone.
