Hello everyone,

For my new system,
I have decided to buy a new Gigabyte G1 Gaming or Windforce 3X GTX 970.

The components which will be builded for my new pc really cost too much. Can you help me choose the most suitable components?

My idea is.

Intel core i7 4790 - 305 dollars
Gigabyte GTX G1 Gaming - 434,5 dollars
16 GB Kingston Ram - 148 dollars
2 TB Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM HDD - 86 dollars
128 GB Sandisk SSD - 65 dollars
Thermaltake black case 600W - 95 dollars
LG DVD-RW - 14 dollars
ASUS VS228DE 1080p Full Hd Monitor - 109 dollars
ASUS H81-PLUS H81 ATX DDR3 Motherboard - 75 dollars

Total with taxes: 1571,17 dollars.

I suppose I should buy a Z97 motherboard and 8 GB ram instead of 16 GB and maybe I can buy monitor later to lower the price.

What do you suggest?
I request your help.

You can swap out the I7 for an I5 4670K Minus $50
You can use a GeForce GTX 670 instead of the outrageously expensive 970, you won't need that at all if you are running single monitor or even dual monitor.
thats $180 off. If you have any more details on what you will be doing with this machine please tell me, I can shave even more off if needed.

I want a GTX 970 with intel core i7 my friend.
16 GB ram is very expensive so I will buy a 8 GB one.
I have a question for you.
What is the most economic and suitable motherboard for GTX 970?
Is it necessary to buy a Z97 MB or may I use a lower version such as Z87 or lower? What is the difference between them?
And finally what is the function of solid state driver? Is it so necessary?

Motherboards very seldomly actually improve (or reduce) performance, tests have been done, there is like a 5fps difference between a $40 board and a $400 board. so get something that has at least 2 PCI-E slots and a good rating, it doesn't matter if it is z97, h97, Z87, H87, provided the processor fits and has those features. What kind of gaming will you be doing on this machine.?

I have 7 years old intel core 2 duo E8400, 4 GB Ram and Asus EAH HD 46501 GB DDR2 GPU. As GPU is very old, games started to crush in a way that pc shuts down itself while playing any game. As my pc is 7 years old, I am thinking to replace it with a powerful pc.

I want to play games such as Assassin's Creed Unity with at least 50-60 FPS on ultra. So I want a GTX 970. 970 is the most economic model for my budget. I will use it with core i7 4790.

Well, I would definitely say go for 16 GB of ram, And you don't need an I7 at all, people always think that if they are making a gaming pc they need an I7, the Core i5 4670K is in certain respects better than a low end I7, because it is a K model, which means it can be easily overlocked, and in gaming, GHz is the name of the game.

I am much confident to buy a new intel core i7 4790 and GTX 970. That is the point. I am trying to decide which kind of motherboard should I pick for my new pc? A Z97, Z87 or a previous version.
