R9-290X - Problem with Desktop Artifacts

Hi there, I need some help with an issue I am having - I recently installed an R9 290X into my rig -AMD FX 6350, 10GB ram, Gigabyte GA-78LMT mobo. It has been working nicely aside from one issue - when the PC awakens from sleep mode, my middle desktop (triple monitors) has artifacts all over the screen. My 290x is underclocked at 1000mhz (down from 1050) since i was having heat issues, and currently running great other than this issue - can game for hours at a time on max settings in Assetta Corsa without any problems.

I have tried raising the 2D clock speed, that didn't help. This is more an annoyance than anything. If i go to my gaming profile via catalyst and then back to normal profile it clears right up. Any ideas?

Serial thank you - I updated to Vbios on the card when i got it but have not actually updated the driver to my knowledge, although i thought GPU tweak did that automatically. In the meantime i think i've got it sorted with the 2-D settings upped a bit, but will update the driver as well I think. I think we can call this solved for now. If the driver update doesn't help, the 2D setting increase has - has not had issues since I re-upped the 2-d settings. (When i did this previously, the settings were not saved - hence issue still happening before)

So i think Catalyst is overriding my ASUS GPU tweak 2d clock settings and setting it back down to 300mhz when the PC goes to sleep or other event. So here's my question - can you run triple monitors in eyefinity WITHOUT CCC? I would like to uninstall CCC if possible to still run an eyefinity setup without it.

also- i did update the drivers - no luck
