scroll down menus not showing unless highlighted

My computer started acting strangely. When I click certain scroll downs, the submenus under it are not showing unless I highlight them with my cursor. I am not quit sure what to do. Any ideas?

Can you be a bit more specific? What scroll downs? Inside a Web browser? On your desktop? In folders? In the Start Menu?

it was the one next to the clock on the start bar and also in a client called swiftkit. I uninstalled my graphics driver, reinstalled, repaired my registry, cleaned my cache, then restarted my comp. It appears to be working now. I think there was something wrong with a recent update I made on my graphics driver. Hopefully this is fixed now. Thanks for the quick reply~
