I have the 4670k with an h100i cooling it and my temps are not good. At idle I'm getting ~50 degrees Celsius. My friend who has the 4770k OC to 4.4 gHz is getting better temps than I am. Any help is appreciated. If you need more information ask. Thanks.

Solution
I have the H105, but I'm assuming that the mounting should be the same. I will include a picture of standoffs, but there should be a few different kinds for different sockets, and for AMD CPU's. I would get out the instructions and make sure you're using the ones for LGA 1150.

Also, if possible, setup your fans to push air through the radiator and out of the case. Pushing is better than pulling.

That does seem high for Idle. Did you clean the old thermal past before applying the waterblock? Did you use the right standoffs? I would reclean the cpu and reseat everything making sure to use correct standoffs. Also are your fans on, and are the pushing or pulling in or out of the case?

I was actually trying to OC tonight and I ended up redoing my thermal paste trying to get my temps lower, along with that i did reseat everything. My fans are pulling air through the radiator and out of the case. I'm not sure what you mean by using the correct standoffs.

Thanks for that picture and my mistake I meant pushing it through the radiator.

I just tried putting my cpu under load and it was getting up to 100 degrees Celsius. I have a major problem. I tried switching one of my fans on the side of my case to pull cool air in and that didnt help at all. I have a lan I am supposed to go to tomorrow and having a cpu thats overheating would not be good. Any help as fast as possible is greatly appreciated.
