Can my new PSU handle my prebuilt and new GPU?

This is the HP Pavilion 500-223W prebuilt I have:

The new GPU:

No old GPU (was integrated)
i3-4130 @ 3.4GHz
1TB 7200RPM HDD
1X8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM

I've already ordered and pair for the new PSU and GPU and don't have enough money atm to return and get different ones.

400W with a 270, seems a bit low to me. You should get EVGA 500W PSU for the same price as that Raidmax.

It should work though. It'll handle a lot of stress but will work.

Raidmax is seriously one of the worst power supply brands you can buy. Just by using it(especially trying to power a 270) you will chance it failing and frying the whole system.

OK, I've found this PSU for the same initial price as the one I'm returning:

$40, but it has a $15 rebate.

I've emailed EVGA asking if their warranty covers damage caused to other components in the event of a PSU failure, and if they say yes then I'm absolutely going to get this. If no, then I need your guys/gals' advice if this is a good one.
