Recommended server hosting

I'm looking into the possibility of renting a server for me and a couple of friends to play on.

As much as I love the idea of Minecraft server we are all after something different so I was curious if anyone could help us out?

We are basically loking for a provier we can rent a server from but not be limited to one game, we want to be able to setup multiple different servers for different games (not simultaneously running different servers just the ability to create multiple for different games).

Does anyone have any recommendations? We are basically looking for a server than can handle most games with up to 8 people and hopefully for a reasonable price.

Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

In house or on diffenret sites? if in house then you can just buy your own computer with around 16+ GB of RAM more if with more than just 3 mods in minecraft,a 4 core 3.0+ GHz i5 or equenvet AMD CPU and a 10+ port switch 1 for the internet to download it all, 1 for the server, and the other 8 for the computers.
if at differnet sites and you have the bandwith then same idea just use the program " LogMeIn " and set up a Virtual LAN network same requirements on the server though.
if wanting a business to do it for you then no business will rent you a single server for multple games on the same server that i know of anyways.

I have tried using the likes of Hamachi to get a server running however i was simply after a 3rd Party hosting company that some people might have used and can recommend to take all the hassle out of hosting the server myself.

ok that also works still i suggest the same thing for the server to be so you can load it up with however many mods you want and have a large to huge mapped area loaded up without it crashing is all.
