Sapphire HD dual x 7950 or powercolor 7970

Hello, i dont know which card to buy... a powercolor radeon 7970 (for $20 more) or a dual x sapphire 7950?

Is the powercolor a dual fan cooler? If it is I would get that one. Remember the 7970 is the exact same gpu as the R9 280x and the 7950 is the R9 280

Get the 7970. I think the 7970 is still a pretty worthy card for gaming. Even if it's $20 more, I'd say get it over the 7950.

If you want faster gaming at the expense of noise (the 7970 will be louder) get the 7970. The sapphire 7950 should be able to overclock higher though so you may be able to match the 7970. If it was me, I would get the 7970 simply because it's the better card. Also I've owned powercolor before I bought their 7870 XT it was good quality

So the sapphire dual x 7950 can overclock to the powercolor 7970, why not pay less and get that the sapphire? Or can the powercolor overclock as well?

Yes the powercolor will overclock aswel, i also owned 2 powercolor 7870 ghz and they were great quality, get the 7970, don't downgrade the card itself for a better brand

just because its loud? a 7970 overclocked absolutely stomps all over 1080p mate... Its a WAY more future proof card
