Hi,
My friend recently broke my HDD by getting thermal paste on it, so he has given me a 750gb HDD from his old laptop. I re installed windows and did the drivers for my GPU and my Motherboard, then added Steam, Spotify and some other programs (nothing more than I did the first time I got the PC running). Now, when i try to launch games, error messages come up (different for most) and either work extremely poorly (some in safe mode) or not at all.
Also, I have encountered many different problems eg. the wireless adapter driver not installing properly after being installed well twice previously.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi there James Lyons,

One thing you can do is to run a brand specific testing program and test the drive. The results will show you its overall health status.
The error messages that you get could be caused by something else that got damaged though(as unksol suggested).
