I have a B570e Lenovo Laptop and it came pre-installed with windows 7 with a recovery partition. Sadly I accidentally wiped the whole hdd when I installed ubuntu. When I try installing windows 7 from a spair disk i had from my old pc it has problems installing the drivers. I have the correct drivers but I get the bsod when installing intel HD 3000 driver. Managed to fix this. It all installs fine IF i install windows 8.1 first. Then I shrink the windows 8 partition as small as it will go then delete it after I have installed windows 7 which works fine. Just wondering why I have to install 8 first which is annoying as I now have to have 2 partitions

Solution
try this download windows 7 iso from digital rivers they have true windows 7 iso. then use windows iso to usb tool and with a usb stick make a new windows 7 boot disk. on another usb stick have the laptop chipset driver. (if there intel or amd get the newest ones from amd or intel). then put the audio and network drivers on the usb stick. dont install intel video drivers from intel. some laptops use there own video chipset bios. if from the laptop vendor this is where your getting the driver and it locking the laptop up dont download there driver. let windows run the windows updater and let windows find the right driver.
