Solution
Google your motherboard or i3-530 and overclock and you'll find lots of info and guides. I overclocked an i3-550 and the results were not as good as I was hoping for (3.86 GHz vs 4.2 GHz). Not all CPUs overclock to the same frequency, I still use the stock cooler and I didn't increase voltage much to keep the temperature low enough to prevent throttling at full load. Its stable as it can run Prime95 and other stress tests for hours.

Good luck!
