Help with my cyber power pc purchase.

This is my first gaming computer I'm going to buy. I'm planing to use it to play Microsoft Flight Simulator X. So anyways I was wondering if this is a good configuration to buy, I'm trying to make it as cheep but, as reliable as possible.

Graphics card's no good at all. Better make it yourself. What's your budget?

I agree, better to pick your own parts. Just had a friend of mine asking for my opinion on a cyberpower pc and while the budget looked good it was similar to the build above. It should be a crime to call a pc with an r5 230 a 'gaming' anything unless it's referring to solitaire or pacman. That's often where they cut corners to try and act like you're getting a real bargain and if you're not familiar with gpu models and their performance you'll likely end up highly disappointed.

Depending what fits within your budget with the rest of the build, an r9 270x, 280, 280x are all good or if going with nvidia the gtx 970 (980 is probably beyond your budget). Even the 2gb 760 wouldn't be too bad. All of those would be magnitudes better than the r5 230 you mentioned earlier.

Is the AMD Radeon R7 240 2GB a bad graphics card.

Yes it is, I wouldn't recommend it for anything other than providing youtube vids to your monitor. To give an idea, it's passmark score is 963 vs the r9 270 at 4189. The r9 270 goes for an extra $63 on your above build and for modern gaming I wouldn't go much lower really.

Here's an idea of it's framerates, which are horrible and most would consider unplayable.
