My PC isn't displaying on my TV via HDMI or Monitor via VGA unless I connect them using my graphics card, but when I do my PC shuts down after 5 minutes of gaming. I usually connect my TV into my computer (not the graphics card) and it doesn't shut down but as stated, it does shut down when I use my graphics card.

Any solution is appreciated so please if you have any experience of this problem or know how to fix it, please say. Thanks.

There are a few things it could be.

Are you monitoring the temperatures of your video card?

It also sounds like your PSU might be stretched too thin. What's the wattage of your power supply? What are your specs?

My power supply is a total of 400W and my graphics card, the 'NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550Ti' has a required Wattage of 400W too, could it be that my power supply has worn out since it was used? My computer randomly been shutting down while gaming with my graphics card for a while but didn't until about an hour but now it shuts down in roughly 2-5 minutes.
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor 3.62 GHz

RAM: 8.00 GB

What else do you need for the specs?

Is it possible this could be the reason that my PC isn't displaying when connected to the motherboard (if it is the motherboard), so the motherboard might not be getting enough power maybe?

I tried that before and it didn't work but I've tried it now and it works, I've ordered a PSU so when that arrives hopefully my graphics card will work again.

Thanks for you answers Brillis Wuce and Deemo13 as it saved a lot of time. :)
