Hi,
My screen randomly goes white and back to normal, often with a phase of blinking black horizontal lines.
The computer still works when it happens, and it can happen pretty much at any time, no matter what I do.
Computer specs:
Laptop Acer Aspire 8943G
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850
Intel Core i5 460M processor
Here's what I've tried to do:
I heard it could be a trojan, so I ran Malwarebytes, nothing found. An answer suggested booting in command prompt and running Rkill then Malwarebytes. it didn't work, so I thought I'd try a more extreme approach and reinstall Windows 7. Note: I reinstalled it with the "save data" option, so maybe that didn't do what I wanted it to do.
It isn't temperature either, I've run HWinfo and the core temperature is under 80°C.
Hardware? That seems the most likely to me, so I've used an air can on the parts I could see. I didn't fully dismantle the laptop to do every part though, just removed the 2 external shells (you can see which parts I can reach by googling "acer aspire 8943G ram" images).
I'm running out of ideas, so I'd appreciate some advice, please.
