Hello Everyone,

I have a Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H motherboard which i found later that it includes one USB header. I have as well a Cooler Master 690 III Case with front USB 3.0 ports and the slot on motherboard is already occupied by the front case usb.

My problem is that I bought the NZXT Aperture M Multi-Media Hub and it got two cables as shown in the picture.

I can connect the USB 2.0 cable on mobo but not the USB 3.0 as I only got one slot already used. What can I do to make the USB 3.0 work on the multi hub?

I searched online and found these two solutions so hope you could advise between them or suggest another better one if you have.

1- Mini PCI-e to dual USB 3.0 Ports adapter 19P USB header 2 USB3.0 spiltter cable

Mobo got a PCIEx1 as shown in picture so I guess that would work.

2- UN3F USB2.0 9 Pin Motherboard Female to USB3.0 20 Pin Housing Male Cable Adapter

Thank you very much and really appreciate your help :)

Thank for your reply Littlesackninja. I just checked again and it seems the PCI adapter is the best but the price seems a big high.

I bought the NZXT Aperture M for around $40 from amazon and after I found I need an adapter I got the two options price from ebay.

The USB 3 to USB 2 converter price around $1.5 where the PCI adapter is around $30
Really didn't expect an adapter to be that expensive as it is around the price of the Aperture M... LOL

Well wait and see If I can buy it somewhere else cheaper. Thanks :)

Oh My that is even better and cheaper. It has the same usb 3 header plus 2 ports and it can be attached securely. Would give it a try thanks alot :)
