Windows 7 could be full of virus's or a bunch of other problems, Are you running the Tech preview for Windows 8? Hopefully not. If you have 8 installed on the same system, you can run that, go into your file browser, open the other partition (it will look like there is another Harddrive installed) and browse directories till you get to your windows 7 desktop directory (it will be a folder called DESKTOP)
Now, If you don't have that, You can search online how to make a Linux (I like to use Linux mint) bootable USB stick, and basically follow the steps i said above.
