I have never had more than 1 storage device in my pc and I am fairly new to the tech world. I recently got a Samsung 850 pro (256gbs) and I am planning on running my os drivers and a few games on it. My HDD is 1tb and has around 550gb on it also I am running win8. So how would I go about doing this? A step by step would be perfect but anything that can help me understand how the setup works would be great. Oh and if you could explain everything like you would to a 4 year old that'd be great :3.

Solution
Hello... 1) I installl the OS on the SSD without any HD's or previous OS visable to the NEW OS install.
2) Once the install is Happy with all the proper hardware drivers, I connect a HD, and copy important files over to the SSD.
3) I delete the Partitions on that HD and create a NEW one... and Format it.
4) Create directories Programs files and Program files (x86) on the Clean HD... and move the important files back from the SSD to the HD.
5) Repeat for a 2nd HD.
6) Some Programs will need to be re-installed for the NEW OS install... You can now direct them to a HD Location using "Custom install"... if you don't want them installed on your SSD.

I understand you have more HD Data than SSD space... You Should re-load most...

I understand you have more HD Data than SSD space... You Should re-load most Games/Programs if you have the "Install material" for them with the new OS SSD.
Other important Data Just back it up on DVD's/USB's/External drive/internet... And re-install later as needed.
