Zotac or Gigabyte GTX970 ?

Both cards are same price in UK Zotac slightly cheaper but delivery charge increases to same price as Gigabyte card was just wondering which you would recommend would be better ?

also bother cards are around 270£ and was wondering should i hold on for a price reduction would there be one soon ?or do you know of any that are cheaper and where to find them ?

ive completed my build all it needs is a graphics card now

Even with the GTX 970, modern games can dip below 60fps (Watch Dogs, Dragon Age), so if you want it to last for as long as possible, go for the GTX 970. Don't even consider the 960.

They won't have price reductions for a loooong time. If you're looking for a cheaper option, the GTX 960 is coming out on January 22nd. If you're playing on a single 1080p screen, it'll be more than sufficient, especially with the higher end models.

As far as Zotac vs Gigabyte, I'd go with the Gigabyte. They're one of the fastest and coolest of the cards.

my set up is

i5 4590
hypercooler evo 212
AsRock pro4 H97M
g.skills 2x4gb
XFX 550w ps
1tb storage

monitor is a 24inch acer 1080p 2ms

wanting to play latest games on ultra/high settings with mods etc ? for a good while into future before having to start upgrading

so should i wait get cheaper option in january 960 ? or is it worth splashing out extra for the 970 ?

which would you recommend ?
