Okay -- need some advice on this one, and greatly appreciate any help in advance.
I have a Windows 7 64 bit system, and would like to create a user profile that would allow me to only load the minimal amount of drivers possible on it. I have decided to go computer-based with my recording (music) software (Cakewalk Sonar Studio 8 - original discs, etc), but want to have the most amount of resources possible to run it, and without anything getting in the way. This means, making a USER PROFILE that is dedicated to ONLY running that software, the sound card I/O that I'm using, and nothing more (unnecessary).
Note: I have tried making a user account already, and used MSCONFIG to delete the drivers I didn't want to load, but it applied to ALL user profiles on the computer. Of course, this won't do.
