Greetings, Happy new year to all. My forum account is new but I have been following the forum for some months now.

This is a rig I am thinking of putting together but since I am inexperienced nor my knowledge of pc's is that great I would like your more experienced opinion.

Processor: AMD Fx 8350 (black edition- 4-4.2ghz (turbo).
Motherboard: Asus Crosshair V Formula Z (Republic of Gamers).
Graphics card: MSI gtx 760 o.c. 2gb DDR5
RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance Pro (DDR3-1866mhz).
Storage: 500Gb (2×250GB Seagate, 7200rpm).
Power supply: XFX Bronze series Pro 550W.

My aim of usage for this rig is mostly games. games such as mmos like The secret world, guild wars 2 and maybe 'heavier' games such as single player RPG's.

Could you share your opinion? perhaps things i should take out or things to put in, any comment would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Solution
If you want you can get a locked i5, no ssd for around 600 pounds.

Hey Jeff. I was thinking of also getting the Voodoo Extreme cooler. This build is costing around 800 British pounds so around 1200 US dollars.

You think that this mobo is not needed? should I also downgrade other components?

Do you plan on overclocking?

I would not mind NOT overclocking if the total price would be reduced. This is also my first ever desktop pc and I dont know whether MMO games require overclocking cpu.

+1; the cheaper you go is good as long as you maintain performance!
