Could it be CPU related?

edit: Does he need to re-apply the thermal paste?

When you start playing a game, your computer uses a lot more resources which makes them run hotter. With more heat, more cooling is needed and so the fans on your GPU and CPU increase in speed which results in more noise.

The i5-750 is a Nahelem-generation CPU. They tend to run on the hot side, so I'm not that surprised it's hitting 90C. Sandy Bridge was a huge improvement in terms of power consumption.

You can try repasting it. Clean out some of that dust with compressed air too. If the motherboard supports later gen CPUs, you can try upgrading to a Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge CPU.
