I recently upgraded my computer and have since been having some troubles. During times of moderate stress my computer turns off without warning. I have reduced the clock speed and the cores used in an attemped to find a solution but this seemed to only delay the problem. At first I thought it was a heating issue but I performed a stress test while monotoring the temperature and it did not rise above 57c, I later thought it was a PSU problem but ruled that out after swapping PSU's. Now I believe it is a compatability issue but I am not sure.

Here are my specs:

AMD FX-9370
ASRock 970 Extreme4
Asus GeForce GTX 750 Ti
600w PSU

I have searched and found no clear solution or answer so I badly need help.

Solution
Hello,

The problem is the motherboard: it supports only 125W CPUs, so it doesn't support the FX-9370 (a 220W CPU).
From ASRock, you could go with this: http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/990FX%20Extreme9/. Also, remember to use a Corsair H100i or Seidon 240L as a cooler.

I have an Alpine 600w PSU and it has served me well over the years, the only problem I have had with it is the fan breaking but I do not think the PSU is the problem as the issue persisited after switching PSU's
