On Battlefield 4 once i join a server with any amount of people on it, the CPU usage mins at around 98%. I've already tried unparking the cores, but that made no difference, neither did enabling mantle. The FPS will then drop from around 40 to 1 or 2 and remain like that. All settings are on low, apart from mesh quality.

Make sure something else isn't eating up all your CPU usage. Ctr+Alt+Del then go to the processess and filter highest usage to the top and see what's causing it.

You can also try some things that will help somewhat (in this order):

1. Uninstall and reinstall AMD graphics drivers using default settings only changing screen resolution. Tons of people try to tweak stuff and just mess everything up, the only settings you should really change are in game settings. Changing driver settings overrides and can cause problems.

2. Restore BF4 settings to default except for screen resolution.

3. Use CCleaner to fix registry.

4. Defrag your hard drive if it's over 10% fragmented unless it's an SSD, then never do this.

5. Restart PC.

This should give you a baseline. Once you see how it performs with default settings you can change ONE setting at a time, checking how it impacts the game.

After trying all this, uninstalling and re-installing the game, it has made no difference, I can't think why this is happening
