I'm building my first gaming PC and my motherboard is the MSI Z97 Gaming 5. I have a EVGA 650W PSU and it came with peripheral cables. What are these for and where do I connect them? What I will be connecting later is a wireless mouse and a keyboard, and a monitor.

Solution
The mouse and keyboard plug into the case (usb) front or rear (motherboard) ports.

The monitor plugs into the graphics card (or motherboard if you don't have graphics card).

The power supply plugs into the motherboard and graphics card (if you have one). Any cables you have spare on your PSU just bundle up neatly on the bottom of the case.

So you are saying I don't need to connect the Peripherals? What are they used for then?
